Bing papers consist of research and conference notes, correspondence, and publications linked to his research in Geometric Topology while a professor of mathematics at the University of Wisconsin at Madison and the University of Texas at Austin. These photographs are arranged by subject, including William Pool, Eugene C. Barker and his family, buildings and events. Most of the subjects of the photographs, other than Pool and Barker, are unidentified. The majority of the photographs are undated, but most of them look as though they were taken between the 1930s and 1970s. The collection includes seven envelopes of negatives and a film canister with an audio recording of Pool.
